A Haunting Daydream

For this project I wanted to capture the aesthetic of 90s and 80s animated cartoons like Scooby Doo and Tom and Jerry while telling my own story about falling asleep in the woods and being caught in a lucid dream that the main character hopelessly tries to escape. At first the main character is just enjoying a hike in the woods, but after picking a relaxing place to rest and dozing off with the sound of the wind in the trees, finds himself transformed into a ghost in a pumpkin patch in the middle of nowhere. His only option is to explore the empty looking house nearby where he encounters a monster made in the style of the old Scooby Doo cartoons. Despite his best efforts to run away and flee to safety, he ultimately is cornered by the monster on the edge of a cliff and is abruptly woken out of what seemed like a short nap. However he quickly realizes that much time has passed, he's now alone in the dark forest, but this time his surroundings are real and not just in his imagination.
